I Tried this place on a whim earlier this week and ordered off DoorDash and was not disappointed! I tried the Sahara Entree plate with the chicken shawarmah and it’s was so good. I also got the pistachio baklava which was to die for. Was craving it so bad I had to stop by again today. Food was just as good and the lady that helped me was very friendly and pleasant.
I've been craving some delicious Gyro meat, Tzatziti & basmati rice, so here I am! The service was absolutely wonderful, VERY friendly staff! The food, oh man, it cured my cravings! Everything came out beyond delicious!!!
Labna, Baba Ghanouj, Lebanese Plate, Greek Gyro Sandwich, Turkish Coffee. This is my 2nd visit to Sahara. Just like the first time, the food was excellent, the service friendly and the restaurant was clean. Consistency is key and Sahara does not disappoint. Highly recommend.
We have been to the middle east and this food was delicious. The service was good, the philathelphel and bahama's media chicken lamb.It was all delicious. We're coming back. They had dubai chocolate.That was the best i've ever had.
There’s no doubt about it, this is the best Mediterranean restaurant in Albuquerque, their food is top tier, delicious and tender. The customer service is exceptional as well, they also sell Dubai Chocolate at a reasonable price, I’m going to say that the Dubai Chocolate at this facility is the best I’ve ever had! 5 stars all around, I’ll definitely be back!
I got a discount card from the Global Education Office, $15, so I had lunch yesterday there while I was washing my clothes. I got a "Lebanese Plate", It was very good, and they prepared it fast. Relay liked it, both the chicken and the beef kebab were perfect, the rice was very tasty.
This is hands down one of the best Middle Eastern places I've been to in quite some time! We were visiting from out of town and are only slightly familiar with Middle Eastern cuisine. The cuisine was new to most of our group, but everything the group tried turned out to be fantastic. I highly recommend the shawarma sandwich,hummus and of course you have to get some of the Dubai chocolate! I enjoyed the visit so well. I went back a day later to get a Turkish coffee and ladyfingers.

Sahara is my absolute favourite Jordanian/Middle Eastern restaurant in Albuquerque! I have been eating there for almost 20 years at all of their locations and still frequent the Central/University one The most. Helen and her family are so kind and talented and I'm grateful to know them. The chicken shawarma plate is my top choice and they have the best homemade pistachio baklava in town. The meats are all fresh and succulent, the rice is fluffy and perfect texture, the veggie dishes are exceptional, and the jallab and blueberry pomegranate teas are unique and flavorful. Love love love this place and can't recommend it enough. They also have Dubai chocolate!
